Love That Cannot Be Tired Out of Loving!

'Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.'  Luke 22:31, 32

I never really noticed before when reading this that Jesus prayed for Peter's faith not to fail and it still did. He experienced unanswered prayer! That was such an amazing thing, a real eye opener for me! We've all had someone we've prayed for or are praying for that seems unhelped by that prayer. Are you giving in to disappointment and bitterness? Look here - Our Jesus experienced the very same thing! He knows what it feels like. Yes he was God so he knew that Peter would ultimately gain the victory, but he was also 'man that he suffered being tempted' (Heb. 2:18). He suffered that very same temptation to give in to the bitterness of disappointment. He will give to us, and maintain in us, his own tenderness of spirit, the love that cannot be tired out of loving, and the patience that will not let go! Trust him for that ultimate victory. Remember, he loves our loved one way more than we can even imagine loving them!
